I purchased it specifically because I needed DOT-5 brake fluid, and this 12 oz bottle was a convenient size without being wasteful. The quality seems solid, and the fluid was easy to pour without making a mess. The bottle is simple, practical, and easy to store if you do not use the full amount at once. For maintenance work, small details like that make the job easier. What I like most is that it gives confidence when working on a brake system that specifically requires DOT-5 silicone fluid. It feels like a reliable option for older vehicles, motorcycles, or systems where DOT-5 is recommended. The performance has been consistent so far, and I have not noticed any issues after use. One important thing is to make sure your vehicle or equipment actually calls for DOT-5, since it is not the same as DOT-3 or DOT-4. But if DOT-5 is what you need, this product does the job well. Overall, this is a good-quality brake fluid at a practical size and worked perfectly for my needs. I would buy it again for the correct DOT-5 application. Five stars! Review: Good product - Good buy, price, and quality product ## Features - Specially formulated hydraulic brake fluid that provides superior benefits - Johnsen's Silicone DOT 5 Brake Fluid is essentially non-hydroscopic compared to conventional DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluids, absorbing less than one percent by weight of water - For drum and disc brakes - Not to be used in ABS systems - 500°F Protection ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00C8720S8 | | Best Sellers Rank | #7,634 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #9 in Brake Fluids | | Brand | Johnsen's | | Brand Name | Johnsen's | | Container Type | Bottle | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 671 Reviews | | Flash Point | 500 °F | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00039101270128 | | Included Components | Silicone DOT 5 Brake Fluid | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Type Name | Premium DOT 5 Brake Fluid | | Item Weight | 12 ounces | | Liquid Volume | 12 fluid ounces | | Manufacturer | Johnsen's | | Material | Abs , Silicone | | Model Number | 7012-6-6PK | | Number of Items | 6 | | Package Information | Bottle | | Part Number | 7012-6-6PK | | Recommended Uses For Product | Brake oil | | UPC | 039101270128 | | Unit Count | 6 Count | | Upper Temperature Rating | 500 °F | | Viscosity | 1000-1500 cSt at 100°C | | Warranty Description | Check with manufacturer regarding warranty and support issues. | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Johnsen's - **Item Weight:** 12 ounces - **Liquid Volume:** 12 fluid ounces - **Material:** Abs,Silicone - **Package Information:** Bottle ## Images ![Johnsen's 7012-6-6PK Silicone DOT-5 Brake Fluid - 12 oz., (Pack of 6) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71lpsJ6BWHL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Number Of Items** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reliable DOT-5 Brake Fluid That Performs as Expected *by D***L on July 12, 2026* Johnsen’s DOT-5 Silicone Brake Fluid worked exactly as expected and feels like a dependable product for the right application.
