The back of the iPad clicks into it neatly with no scratching and no obstruction of ports or switches. It is a cover offering reasonable protection rather than a fully protective case as such (I have an additional soft padded zip-up case if I'm taking the iPad out and about - the combination works well for me and it's not too fussy) as it has just a small magnet that keeps it lightly but not firmly closed over the screen - you need one with an elastic band or similar for that if you want one that stays closed, due to the iPad design - but it is far less bulky and obtrusive than that sort of cover, and protects the iPad adequately in most situations. It's useful that it's a smart cover that switches the screen on/off with open/close. I've used it myself for over a year and just bought another for my husband. It feels great, the materials are really premium, the fit is perfect and the function of the case is incredible. Different folding styles, smooch / svelte feel and hardly added any weight or size to my iPad. For me the quality is easily up there with very expensive cases in the £50 range (including the official apple case). I will be looking out for other Pipetto products. They are protective, light and practical. The multiple positions are very useful. I also like the fact that the top does not tend to come off when put flat... so much better than the Apple case!
