I was caught in a heavy downpour and it kept me dry but I’m not sure how it would stand up to several hours of rain. It doesn’t leak down the seams like some lightweight jackets do and the hood stays on when it’s windy but I’m not sure it’s as robust as a heavyweight rain jacket.
