What the EVO will do is raise the "sound floor" in your apartment, so that instead of hearing the loud thumps of your heavy walking neighbor against a silent backdrop, there will be a base-line blanket of white noise, so that when the thumping of the heavy footsteps occurs, it is less bothersome. I wanted the loudest and if you want to loudest and the best variety of sounds. Look no further! Omg this, as originally when I first bought I was a mother of a baby and an older child and a noisy husband living in a small flat THIS has saved my sanity! It's been years My baby is now 4.
