Wie bereits an anderer Stelle ausgeführt, lassen sich z.B. Salami Würste und Hartkäse problemlos in appetitliche Scheiben zerlegen. Der Kraftaufwand den Messerarm in der Nut zu bewegen geht gegen Null. Die Guillotine ist aus hellem, festen Holz massiv, sorgfältig gefertigt. Lediglich eine kleine Einschränkung ist dem geneigten Besitzer bei der Erstnutzung aufgefallen:Der Messerarm verkantete beim hobeln ein wenig an einer bestimmten Stelle in dem U-förmigen Holzrahmen. Mit einem Stück 100er Schleifpapier an der besagten Stelle kurz poliert, schaffte umgehend Abhilfe. Der Messerarm lässt sich gleich ohne Widerstand zügig in der Nut bewegen. Gleichwohl wird die hilfreiche Guillotine mit 5 Sternen bewertet.

Die Schneidemaschine ist auf jeden Fall dekorativ und ein Hingucker. Praktisch ist sie eher nicht so. Schneidet nicht richtig und steht auch nicht stabil genug um vor allem größere Mengen aufzuschneiden. Da steigt man lieber gleich auf die elektrische Schneidemaschine um.
