I ensured the bag was always sealed to avoid the walnuts turning bitter. Unfortunately the last quarter of the bag remaining was left open and it turned sour. I will be ordering again but worried since customer have complained about them being bitter and stale second time round. Let's see. Will keep this post updated. They come shrink wrapped and actually look fresh, not dark brown like some, and the taste is as fresh as I've tasted. I have no idea why some people give these poor reviews as I have had perfect walnut halves every time with only very few smaller pieces and no shells. Hahaha OK the next lot I ordered were pieces not halves, and a few bits of shell, so only four stars.
