I don't know how this stuff is able to remove baked-on carbon from my rifles and pistols as well as it does without harsh chemicals or hydrocarbons. But it does. And it does it well. I shoot all my firearms suppressed almost 100% of the time. My rifles and pistols are NASTY after range sessions, but all I do is soak my components with the handy spray bottle, let them sit a few minutes, and wipe them off. Even the crusty area of the AR10/AR15 bolt tail (you know what I'm talking about) requires only some light attention with a nylon brush. And no smell. I can clean my things inside without gloves or worrying about the brake cleaner I used to use melting my hands or polymer parts.
