I can also wear crop tops more comfortably with the high rise. These are soft and tight, but I wouldn’t label them as compression leggings. They’re close — but not quite there. I think these are a great compromise for running errands, walking, chores around the house or just dressing down to be casual. I especially like these because the seam is on the inside of the leg. No visible seams on the outside of the leg. Therefore, you can somewhat dress these up with a nice top, or just wear them to the gym. I wear a size 8.** A: I’m not really sure but I think it would be length. I'm 5'7" and 165lbs. The medium in the Ink Blue was spot on for providing a small amount of compression, staying put, and not being too tight at the waist. The Charcoal Grey ones fit like they were at least a 1/2 size, if not a full size bigger, so they're getting returned. They were loose feeling and constantly fell down. In short, the sizing wasn't quite in line with the size chart for me, and the sizing is inconsistent between colors.
