Review: Bought for all-day use, so far so good - I work from home, and recently decided to upgrade my chair to something with more ergonomic features. I got this chair primarily for the back support as well as the ability to adjust 3 different ergonomic settings: the seat's forward angle, the back's forward angle, and the seat's height from the ground. In this regard, the chair is great. You are able to lock the chair into essentially the perfect position for your body, which was important to me. When the back's adjust lever is locked down, the back does not give at all. It's locked in place. This was a crucial element for me because it provides the back support I need when sitting long hours. This chair delivers that in spades, and so for that alone it was worth the money for me. In terms of the chair's comfort and quality, I would rate it average. It doesn't seem to be made of cheap materials, and everything feels solid once assembled. The mesh seat cover and back are quality and don't feel cheap or like they are likely to tear. One aspect that isn't so great is the wheels. I HIGHLY recommend you also purchase a set of rollerblade wheels for office chairs. This is one of the biggest upgrades you can make to any chair, and solves the problem of this chair's subpar wheels. A set of 6 can be had here on desertcart for under $20 as of this writing. I have only had this chair for a few days, so I will update this review as time passes and comment on quality over time. EDIT: 1-Week Update: Vast improvement over my previous chair. The ability to lock the back in place is crucial for me and this chair has been a delight over the past week. The chair is extremely comfortable for me even after a long work day, sitting for 8+ hours. If it holds up like this for a long duration I will be very pleased with my purchase. EDIT: 6-Week Update: I continue to be impressed and satisfied with this chair. No squeaks, it's not loose anywhere, and the back support is still as strong as the day I put it together. Will update later this year to speak to quality longevity. EDIT: 4-Month Update: I love this chair. It's still just as solid as the day it was put together, and it's so comfortable. This chair has actually spared me a lot of back pain when compared to my previous work from home chair. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for the features I described above. EDIT: 6-Month Update: Still a great chair. There was a little bit of creaking noise, so I got the allen wrench which came with the chair (I always tape mine to the bottom of the seat) and tightened everything up. Now it's like it was new again. I'll update in another year or so. EDIT: 1-Year Update: The chair is still holding up just fine. I am sitting in it as I write this and it's just as sturdy-feeling as the day I got it. At this point I have put something like 3,000 hours of use into the chair (that's about $0.04 per hour at the current price, for the nerds), so I think the fact that it still feels mostly new is a pretty good testament to the overall quality. I have continued to periodically tighten bolts, but this is the minimum maintenance for any long-term furniture. I have to say, this was a great purchase. I have changed my review from 4 stars to 5 given it has held up in this condition as long as it has. EDIT: 1.5 Year Update: I have moved on to another chair, but I will always remember the time we shared together. The chair is still going strong, I just upgraded to an even nicer one. This chair has now been given to someone else and I'm sure it's going to get years more use.
Review: A lot of chair for the money - Update on 9/04/2018 It's been about 14 months now and it's still as great as day 1. No problems. So far (it's been 3 days since assembling and using) I am very pleased with the chair. At first I thought I got a box that had already been opened because the parts were not packed very snugly and I couldn't find the directions to begin with to check that I had all the contents. Checked the hardware box, then finally found the directions underneath the seat cushion. Turns out everything was there and no parts appeared to be damaged. The directions leave a little to be desired - for instance the orientation of the arm rests, which are slightly different in front and back, were not identified in the instructions at all - so I just picked what I thought would work best. Other than that, it was very simple assembly. The biggest question was how much to torque the screws in that hold the arm rests. You can't rock back and forth in this chair, but that's not what I want when sitting at a desk working on the computer. Finally I have some lumbar and back support unlike other cheap chairs that have the back at a permanent lean backwards. This is not a $1,000 ergonomic, fully adjustable chair, but it does get much of the way there. The rollers are very smooth, even on carpet (low pile). Some people complained about the arm rests being flimsy and getting loose or breaking off. Yeah, well if you use them to do pushups on and put all your 300 lbs on them when getting up, well, yeah, they might just snap off - so don't do that. I use the arm rests to rest my arms. All in all I am very pleased with the purchase, but it is early yet. Hopefully I'll remember to come back and adjust this review if there are any major issues. The seat cushion is very comfortable and the mesh is very nice for breathability. The adjustments seem to work very well and seem quite sturdy.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I hardly see any change in the tilt of the seat when operating the second lever. Is that the way it works?**
A: The middle lever on my chair does not move the seat AT ALL. The seat is in a permanent forward tilt and I keep sliding off. Out of frustration, I have taken the seat off and it appears that the middle lever is bent (not sure if that's on purpose) and the whole mechanism appears to be tilted forward. The large bolt to the front knob appears to be in crooked and I can't turn it at all. Anybody have any ideas how I can fix this? I'm desperate.

**Q: cam i replace the seat with a new cushion and hardware.**
A: The armrests bolt to the main platform of the seat, so that should be retained if you want to keep those. The upholstery is pretty nice cushioning in my opinion, but is on with staples, so you could change the fabric, foam, etc. if you want, but obviously don't expect the warranty to cover that. The main frame mechanism that bolts to the platform and sits on the piston does all the adjusting save the armrest height, so if you want to change that out, you should probably consider a different chair to begin with... As long as we're talking about modifying it:The fabric on the back is just stretched and the stretch ring is held in with phillips screws - looks pretty easy to remove. The piston is industry standard, so if you want it taller or shorter, you can swap that out.The leg/wheel assembly fits on an industry standard piston, so that could be swapped out for virtually any other. It occurs to me that, with enough spare parts, you could actually build your ideal chair from scratch, but I can honestly say that this one's a pretty good deal as-is.

**Q: Are the arms removeable?**
A: Yes. The arms aren't ergonomic. They sit too far out. Arms should be closer to your sides

**Q: does this chair have good lumbar support**
A: Yes, I'm very pleased with the chair overall. You can adjust the back which is great.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good chair
*by B***H on September 17, 2025*

I've purchased this chair twice before - once in 2017 and once in 2021 - and I'm ordering it again now in 2025. It falls apart on me after 4 years use. Eventually the armrests crack and the height adjustment won't stay locked - it sinks down gradually until it's at its lowest possible point. Why, then, am I buying it again? Because, when it's working properly, it is the most comfortable chair I've ever owned. I've not found another chair where the tilt of the seat and the back can be adjusted independently. The armrests can be adjusted to the perfect height for me. The seat cushioning is nice. I use this chair a lot - I work from home and spend 10 to 12 hours a day at the computer, so I need to be comfortable. I've tried other, more expensive chairs, and none of them can be adjusted to fit my body like this one. If it only lasted longer, I'd consider it perfect.
