I was tempted to give this product an extra star for the sheer chutzpah of its marketing. By way of calibration: 1. The youtube video for this product (search on youtube for hS0KQOBRcSY) appears to be generated by a low-quality speech program. The vocal quality is that of a 1980's speech generator, and the second sentence at 0:08 calls the product the "Clarion Lumina 4 Kelvin" (4K is the temperature at which helium liquifies, apparently no one bothered to "proof read" what the computer came up with). Youtube has a raft of similarly mindless marketing videos all under the name "Carmelita Steadman". 2. The 3K and 2K Clarion Lumina projectors both have native resolutions of 640x480, and are priced at respectively $4,199 and $3,995. Anyone who would pay that much for so tiny a resolution could do even better with the opportunities offered by the heirs of deceased Nigerian potentates. 3. The "Support", "About Us", and "Contact Us" tabs on the website Clarionprojectors dot com leave unanswered the questions of who, what, and where is Clarion. No phone number, no address, not even a country. The "Support" tab simply gives a short FAQ whose first Q&A is as follows. Q: I have just purchased a projector but have difficulties setting it up... They said they would take 10% of the "value". $500 for a tv they probably got for $70 on eBay. Amazon must have gotten rid of filters or something for this sort of crap to be sold on the store, let alone for 100x its worth (and that may be too much even). It's like ebay on amazon suddenly.. you have no clue if what you're getting is any good. I used to think Amazon was mostly about fair products, but this is beyond obvious it's a scam and if anyone buys these or any other similar product for way way way more than market value they are getting robbed.
