I believe this item would throw well with practice and one could, in my personal opinion, defend a well provisioned fort or mountain stronghold with it should the need arise. While I simply chop firewood with this item, I am confident that with a sufficient quantity of these one could hold out indefinitely in a well provisioned fortified location, if their courage holds and re-enforcements arrive in time. **Q: Is there any blade cover or belt hook** A: There should be a rubber cover for the blade, but i dont no if anyone makes a proper cover!! **Q: Does this axe cone with any sheath** A: No!
