The lenses are adjusted without the need to tighten excessively, this avoids marks and pain around the eyes. The insulation is perfect, no water comes in. I have used them in open water swimming competition as well as swimming pool training and the range of vision is wide enough. Usually I swim at least a mile, more most times. I had used Barracuda Comfort series for years, then about 4 years ago I switched to the Barracuda Ultimate goggles they worked OK; you had to tighten them enough to stop leaking, which meant that after about 45 minutes they started to become very uncomfortable, but tolerable and they didn't leak. About 3 weeks ago, where the straps fasten to the goggles broke (no way to repair). I was going to buy another pair, but they don't make them any more. One customer said that the triton was the replacement for the Ultimate. So I order the Triton, big mistake. Worst goggles ever, leaked from the get go. When I tightened them to what I thought would be enough to stop the leaking, the lenses actually hit my eyelid. Luckily, I had a pair of 10 year old speedo goggles that still worked good enough to finish a swim. I would say don't ever consider buying the Triton goggles, but to be fair, everybody is an experiment of one. So they may work for the rare someone. I bought a pair of Aqua Sphere Kayenne goggles, these are the best goggles ever!!! No leaks and the most comfortable swim goggles, I have ever owned. I didn't have to stop swimming because my eyes were about to explode. Also, no fogging or glare and a wide clear field of vision. They cost a little more, but well worth it. I am going to order another pair or two. I know my wife will steal them after she tries them just one time. The button adjustment is quite easy to use.
