Review: It works! - Bought his after our 13 year old Wheaten was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis and prescribed a steroid inhaler. I checked with our vet and this company that it would be ok to use this with steroids. Both said should be ok, but may make steroids less effective. We gave it a try. After about 10 days he was doing so well, we wondered if the steroids could work even better without this, so stopped. A few days later he was really wheezy, so we put him straight back on them. A few days later he was much better again. 5 weeks after first diagnosis, we went to vet for a check up- he seemed surprised, and said he was very impressed with his progress, and he actually sounds better than he did when he first saw him. Brilliant!

**Q: Does this help w fluid on/in the lungs?**

Lung Gold has been formulated to help with lower-respiratory breathing issues, and some of the herbs in this blend have been shown to help open the bronchioles to allow for more easy breathing. In doing so, there is a possibility that this may help with fluid retention, though this is not the intent of this supplement. The majority of the herbs in this blend focus on immunity. 

If the lungs are congested with fluid, most often, this requires the use of a diuretic, which your veterinarian should be able to assist you with. And of course, the underlying, root cause should always be addressed!

**Q: Does this medication expire ?**
A: Hello there,

There should be an expiration date on the bottom of the bottle at the base of it. You can see that when you flip the bottle upside down. The product has a 3-5 year shelf life, even after being opened.

**Q: The label has a cat and a dog. Is this product also okay for cats to use?**
A: Yes! I called them directly and they said its for both.  You can call them directly with any questions 877-633-2401.

**Q: Anyone tried for "old dog lung" calcification?**
A: Not sure what this is but my 12 y.o. Springer has responded well to Lung Gold. Absolutely worth a try.

### ⭐ I believe this product did my dog harm so AVOID AVOID AVOID

I have a beloved 12 years old Samoyed, 'Bunty' & for two to three days after taking this (on four) previous consecutive days I genuinely thought I was going to lose my pet. She means the world to me & I have never seen her so ill, night & day. She wretched, groaned, vomited (large amounts) of brown/yellow liquid that matched the toxic same smell as the product in the bottle. Her breathing became laboured. It required an emergency visit to our local vets to get her on the mend. I was told by an experienced UK vet that the product contained substances that the veterinary practice could not recommend. Bunty has been listless & lacking energy during her slow recovery from this nightmare substance. I wish I could speak directly with whoever invented/designed this terrifying product. DO NOT GIVE THIS HORRIBLE PRODUCT TO YOUR LOVED PETS. I have a German acquaintance who is a specialist in animal medical matters & the advice given to me shatters my belief in the ethics of many modern companies who produce products intended for an animal's ingestion. Please be warned & avoid. Postscript: The above review still stands, although fairness prompts me to advise would-be purchasers that my beloved Bunty appears to be recovered from the worst effects of this episode, although some increased lethargy remains. However, I will steadfastly never use this product ever again. The seller, to their credit, has communicated with me & have demonstrated what appears to be genuine concern. I would point out that there are other, previous bad reviews of this product there for all to see. I believe this product ought not to be offered without any dog-owner knowing all the risks.
