These Hook Keepers are a great idea, and as a lifetime fisherman with many rods of all types, I thought it'd be nice to have some of these. The pictures show them mounted to what appears to be a normal sized rod section - and from these pics you'd naturally draw the conclusion that they might be suitable for any normal sized blank - say 1/2" or 5/8" diameter. These things are so tiny that they will only mount securely to the top section of a rod, which is where you'd never want to park a lure. I tried several different methods of my own design to try to keep them mounted to the rod shaft, but they would pop off as soon as I hooked a jig or bait hook to them and snugged the reel. You're better off using a zip tie with a screw hole in it. Waste of $6.00. I did have one pop off, but it was an installation error.
