I do not use the spill-protector lid, so the fact that mine was not up to specs did not bother me. Overall, I am very happy, and I have been using it every day for the past week to mix my morning beverage. By the way, I use rechargeable AAA batteries in mine, and have not yet had to replace them, yet. Also, I have found a magnetic stir that works better, so I use this in place of the original—you can find them here, on Amazon. I have struggled drinking my Keto Coffee because it always has a layer of butter fat at the top. Stirring it with a spoon works only temporarily and doesn’t properly blend all the ingredients. This cup blends the coffee, butter, coconut oil, MCT oil, heavy cream, etc. perfectly and leaves a nice frothy top layer.
