The tungsten carbide skull crusher pommel at the base of the knife is designed for cutting or breaking glass or for other tasks requiring blunt force. The knife is 10.5 inches in total length and 7 ounces in total weight. The blade is 5.75 inches in length and 1 inch wide at its base. Sharp. Excellent sheath which separates into two parts, one for the knife and one for the striker if you want it too. Small sheath would work well for a pocket knife. Handle is tough, I have no doubt you can break glass with this thing! I bought a couple and I might get a couple more for Christmas presents.
