If left wet, the skin’s natural barrier function can be compromised and the legs become susceptible to infections – the conditions known as ‘mud fever’ and ‘rain scald’, where scabs and sores appear. Gentle and easy to apply, Mudbar cream enhances the skin’s waterproof barrier function as well as promoting hair re-growth and soothing any sores. It can therefore be used as a preventative measure during periods when the legs are frequently wet or muddy. We recommend massaging into skin twice a day. Ideal for sensitive skin. If the skin is already broken and scabby, we recommend starting with the other product in the Mudbar range – Mudbar Plus – which revitalises damaged skin. Biteback also make an antiseptic drying powder ‘Flowers & Zinc’ which helps get the scabby areas thoroughly dry before treating. Handmade in the UK with safe, trusted ingredients.
