Solid Metal.Weatherproof, I think you could say waterproof.Cons:-Solar shows its charging, but when it completely died I set it outside on the balcony in direct sunlight for about a week. Still dead, and it wont power up. Not sure if the rechargeable batteries are cheap or solar does nothing.-Spray painted exterior where you can see they didnt finish painting the underside of the camera.-Initial recording shows out of focus, then slowly gains focus, but every time it begins a recording. Its annoying.-Setup was ok, but I'm tech, and it took some time to figure it out. Specifically they dont clearly tell you what the password is for setup. After much digging I figured out its "1", arg..-App is garbage, but manageable.-Took over a month to arrive, but I was aware of this. So not only have i had a horrible waste of waiting on the slow shipping, defective troublesome camera, countless back and forth attempting to get tech support. Now i have to pay for the return so this all cost me for hassle. Extremely upset.
