Also, the light colors help determine when to clean them.Just squishy enough. Not too hard like a lot of them but not so soft they are not effective.Application is very nice, surprisingly, better than expensive ones.I used dry and damp. Either way, doesn't soak up all the makeup.Because they are squishy, most of the water is wrung out, making a truly "just damp" sponge.Application of foundation superior to expensive sponges...what a surprise.No dyes coming out when cleaning, no funky smells, dries very fast.I honestly cannot find a thing wrong with these. I have been on the hunt for the perfect makeup sponge for 2 years now.
