The book arrived in a pristine condition and the pages are of excellent quality. Even though it is supposed to be the first novel written, the lucid translation of Seidensticker compels one to forget the fact that this was written around the 10th century. Although it's difficult to remember the names, once you get a hold of it, it isn't hard to tell why this book is considered to be a classic.

A beautiful book indeed.  Silky page and nice bindin.  But amazon should be more careful about delivery of books. There is no bubblewrap and nothig.

No doubt its an excellent novel no point further reviewing that. What I want to say is the binding of the book and paper quality is excellent. Papers are Bible thin and equally good quality. Its hard bound with a flexible spine for ease of reading and has a silk bound book mark. Go ahead and buy this people.
