If just the valve body is there a tool recommendation?** A: To remove the valve body, you first must remove the filter lid, using the tool that came with the filter. Using a spray lubricant around the gasket will help remove it. I use an oil base stainless steel cleaner polish. On the under side of the filter lid, there is a black poly nut, which requires a gentle touch with a channel lock or similar. All gaskets and O-rings need to be cleaned with the same lubricant and wiped clean, before placing them back on. **Q: Does it include the white O-ring?** A: As far as I know, we have never had the white "O" ring. We replaced the seating "O" ring with a replacement from Lowes, which seems to be working out well. On chlorine feeder applications we use a Viton replacement "O" ring. **Q: Do you have to do something to "release" the pressure gauge? Our assembly is installed and working, but gauge reads "zero".** A: The screw on the back of this manual relief valve should release air and water from the sand filter when the pump is running. To remove the relief valve to install a new assembly there is a wrench. the entire round black assembly is unscrewed and then you can unscrew the valve separately to install the replacement. Never use the wrench to remove the top of the sand filter while it is running or still under pressure. If your system is running and the gauge is still reading zero your gauge is broken. The wrench for the Triton II Sand filter is also available on Amazon it is not possible to install this valve without the wrench. Copy the following into the Amazon Search bar: Pentair 154527 8-1/2-Inch Wrench Replacement Pool/Spa Fiberglass Commercial Filter and Pump **Q: Does this fit the Triton II TR100 (without the c) part number 140210. The Manual Air Relief assembly that is on the filter now is also clear.** A: I have a Triton TR100 140210, without the "C", and this fits perfectly. The 154689 Tee assembly DOES NOT FIT. You can, however, look at your pump and tell which is which. They don't look anything alike, and you can immediately tell just by looking at if you need this unit, or the smaller Tee shaped thing. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Assembly fit great! I would use this seller again. I do recommend this productAssembly came with broken gauge.Pros: The assembly for perfectly and arrived quickly, also included o-ring at base of assembly (was not stated as included).I was only replacing my assembly because the clear portion was cracked/leaking , the old gauge worked but was obviously worn. I was able to remove the faulty gauge and put my old gauge on the new assembly to ensure that everything worked fine otherwise. I have reached out to Amazon and they are sending me a new assembly- once that arrives if the replacement gauge is working appropriately, I will update this feedback. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Original Pentair Part But Bleed Valve a Different Size - Otherwise Fine *by R***S on December 10, 2023* Nice item. Original part in original mfg. package. My plan was to just replace the air purge screw in dealy as the o-ring on the existing had started to fail and the sand filter leaks water at this vent valve assembly (where the purging water comes out). Anyway, Pentair changed the thread on me...why? Just a way to get more money from having to replace the whole deal...which takes unscrewing the top part of the sand filter, which is a pain in the rear. So, I am going to keep it as a backup as it does have a new pressure gauge on it and then I went to the harware store and got a pack of various o-rings and I will try and replace the o-ring on the existing. Should work OK. That will buy me some time since my pool guy is inattentive and even though I pointed it out to him, he is ignoring it so far...ha! But, the part is OEM and it seems like it will fit, etc. These pool things are expensive.
