I usually wear an 8.5 in shoes and go up to 9 for winter boots to accommodate winter socks. I looked at the sizing info and ordered size 8; they're big enough to wear with socks, so I would say they fit a little large and would size down for a half-size. Will have to see if the soles grip in winter weather but overall an excellent buy.Dec. 10: I have taken off 2 stars because after wearing them in a couple inches of snow a couple of times, the color has come off in several places, so instead of "crackle black-gold" I have--black. Since I haven't done anything drastic to them that might take off the color, I assume it will all come off after while.
