We used the 1/2" version to organize 4 Apple lightning cables, and they fit easily. There was perhaps room for 1 or 2 more.I originally thought that the tube had a Velcro seal, but the long edge is actually open and simply relies on the natural curl of the sleeve to keep the cables in place. There is enough overlap that this works well and we have not had any trouble with cables getting loose.The big downside is that the cut ends of the sleeve fray easily, and it's devilishly difficult to get a neat end. This is exacerbated by the sleeve being made from 2 different materials that react very differently to heat (the long fibers shrink, while the cross fibers melt), making it impossible to get a neat finish using a hot knife or a match. If you have a heat gun and some patience, here's how we solved the problem:- Mark the sleeve with a Sharpie where you want to finish it. Leave about 4" of extra material beyond each end.- Open up the curled sleeve and wrap a piece of electrical tape around the sleeve (both the inside and outside) about 4" from your mark. This helps prevent the material from fraying while you work. I used my wife's embroidery hoop to hold the sleeve open while I did this.- Cut the material with sharp scissors directly through the electrical tape.- Take the sleeve out of the embroidery hoop, and fold the end over itself at the mark so that the raw end with the electrical tape is inside the sleeve. The material will fight you when you do this, so be patient. The neater you can do this, the neater the result will be. I used the round handle of a wooden spoon and additional electrical tape to help hold things where I wanted them and keep a tight curl.- With a heat gun set to low (250Β°F) or a hair drier, heat the entire end where the material is folded over. It doesn't take a lot of heat for the material to accept its new shape and stop fighting you.- If necessary, keep shaping the material and applying low heat until you are happy with the result.- If you open the tubing back up at this point, you will probably find that the fibers inside are distorted and have escaped from the electrical tape. To keep these loose fibers from poking through the outer sleeve, I wrapped another piece of electrical tape around the inside and re-trimmed the inside end.I hope this helps others deal with this material, which is quite nice to work with apart from the problem of dealing with the raw ends. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great looking sleeve *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2020* Sleeve looks great, works great, cutting is a bit of a hassle, the ends begin to fray. Had to take a lighter to it "melt" the ends.One note, I bought this to make a black wire for a wavemaker in my aquarium not stand out so much. But it turns out that this thing will absorb water all the way through (even though only about 3 inches of it was submerged. Woke up one morning to about 2cups of water on my basement floor and thought it was because of rain (it rained the night before). But the "leaking" didn't stop for days until I started to look for another source and saw the sleeve with water dripping to the floor. Don't know about the science behind the material and it absorbing water even though 70% of the sleeve was hanging outside the tank. But took it off and no more water on my floor.Otherwise this works as it should and looks great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my application! Cable cover for AIO water cooler. *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2018* I stumbled upon this after seeing that Cablemod sells nylon braided to cover your wires in your computer for $30. This is 10 feet, super cheap, and it self wraps so I figured what's the harm? The diameter of the the Kraken/Corsair sleeves are a little under .5 inches. Not a scientific measurement as I used a metal tape measure for the 1.5 inch circumference. The 1/2 inch leaves ample room and allows for much larger diameters as well. The extra overlap securely wrapping around it looks nice with extra white. I haven't tried cutting it yet with my cheap hot knife but based on other comments it shouldn't be an issue. I will secure it with white electrical tape. I will use the excess to cover other wires as well because 10 feet leaves lots of room to hide every wire. I'll put pictures up once the build is done but so far this is fantastic way to easily secure wires and change a color.
