When counting up then ttrying to count down it doesn't always work. I had to clear the count and start over.If this worked it would be great. I've been looking for a counter like this for a while. Just sorry I found this one.Update: After using this counter a bit I have learned how to work it a little better. I still have it muffled to keep the sound bearable but otherwise it's bearable. Yes it's quirky and you have to get used to it, but it does count up AND down so if that's what you want it will work. I really want the count down function so it's worth it to me.On a side note, the vendor contacted me offering a refund and apologizing for not meeting my needs. Instead I decided to update my review because honestly I want to keep the counter.
