## Description

Ultimate 7-Band Graphic Equalizer

Review: Works well, no extra noise - Seems to work well, I do not get extra noise. Only using with 9v battery for now. For the cost it’s worth it.
Review: Solid pedal with a lot of versatility - I decided to buy this pedal so as to avoid replacing the pickups in my bass, and I have not been dissapointed -- as soon as I figured out what frequencies I wanted to boost, my tone has improved dramatically. I mostly play metal and gothic rock, and having a brighter tone that can cut through the mix while not being muddy is something I was having trouble with before getting this pedal. The plastic case feels more than sturdy enough for home use, and if you don't stomp on it while wearing a suit of medieval armor (like some people who complained about the plastic have probably done), I don't see why it couldn't work for casual gigging. I will say that it does tend to start clipping and/or hissing if you turn up the higher frequencies too much. My advice is to set it to a point at which it's not noisy, and then turning up the volume on your amp -- that seems to work much better, but it might be personal preference.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: If BEQ700 equalizer is on 120 volt power supply (not battery) and if there is power interruption, is the device on or off when power is restored?**
A: On. Power seamlessly and automatically switches over from AC (120v) to battery power if AC is interrupted. As long as one doesn't press the footswitch to the OFF position, and as long as the battery is good, power is not turned off when power sources change.

**Q: How many come in one order?**
A: how many what? one pedal per order

**Q: Are Eq settings effected by a low battery, or is it designed to go dead once the battery doesn't have enough juice to funtion properly?**
A: No idea. All my pedals run on a single power source...no batteries. There are lots of companies that sell a single plug-in 9V brick with lots of single or daisy-chained female ends to plug into all your pedals. I use my EQ in the signal path of my Ergo EUB-4. This is an electronic upright base that's just the 60" neck of a double bass and sits on a tripod. I use the EQ to get a sound as close to a true double bass as possible. Another consideration... When you string pedals together, as virtually everyone does, you just keep adding noise to the signal path. The solution is using a TRUE bypass looper. Each foot switch button on the looper (mine has 6) has an OUT to the pedal and a corresponding IN from the pedal. All your pedals stay on all the time but are only in the signal path when you press the corresponding foot switch. And, yes you can have more than one pedal in any loop. Check out loop-master.com and some videos on YouTube. This is a MUST piece of equipment for anyone with multiple pedals.

**Q: Ok 9v, but how many mha are requierd to power it?**
A: IME, a simple analog pedal like this will draw low current. I'd be surprised if it were more than 20 mA.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid pedal with a lot of versatility

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really helps shape my bass sound!!!!
*by A***M on December 19, 2011*

This is exactly what I needed to control my bass. I have a "Boss LMB-3 Bass Limiter Enhancer" going to a "Behringer BDI21 V-Tone Bass Amp Modeler". This worked well, but I was not getting the sound I was wanting to hear out of my amp. Sooooo, after I got this EQ, I adjusted the sliders to where I wanted and my sound smoothed out considerably and I was able to get rid of the boomy low end that was really messing up the overall sound of the group I was playing with. With this EQ, I was able to isolate the frequencies better and today was the first day I used it. I was quite happy with it and the bass really sat well with the live mix. The EQ pedal is a MUST HAVE for the bass player as well as the Limiter Enhancer. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the pedal construction is plastic and the sliders feel kinda loose. They are way too easy to slide and I feel like I need to be really careful with them. Having said that, I'm not paying for a $99.00 pedal. So, for what it is, it's perfect.
