## Description

Founded in 1939, Duralex has been manufacturing tempered glassware and tabletop products for over 80 years in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin in the very heart of France. Since 1939, when Duralex invented the glass tempering process, the name Duralex has been associated with toughened glassware, utilizing their proprietary process. Duralex is and will always remain a true French manufacturer of glassware and tabletop products, and is the only glass manufacturer that makes 100% of their products in France. Tempered glass ramekins, ideal for preparing and serving cheese or egg dishes, poi, desserts, garnishes, and condiments. Duralex's tempered glassware can withstand sudden thermal shock from -4°F to 212°F. Extremely durable, impact and chip resistant. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Made in France.

Review: Work Well for Counter Top to Table - I use these for “mise en place” when I need pre-measured ingredients for cooking, sauces and stir fry. They are durable and stand up to my stone counter tops. But they look good enough for sauces on the table.
Review: Duralex Ovenchef Ramekins Review - Duralex tempered glass has earned its reputation through decades of reliable performance in French kitchens and cafés. These ramekins uphold that standard with consistent construction and genuine thermal shock resistance. The size proves ideal for individual desserts, custards, or small gratins, though they work equally well for food prep—holding chopped ingredients, sauces, or condiments during cooking. The straight sides and smooth interior clean easily and stack efficiently for storage. What distinguishes these from ceramic alternatives is their versatility with temperature extremes. Freezer to oven transitions present no problems, and they handle microwave use without hotspots that plague some glassware. At their price point for a four-pack, they represent solid value for quality French manufacture. Practical for kitchens that appreciate multi-purpose items that perform reliably across various cooking tasks.
