Drop metatarsal pads: teardrop shaped metatarsal pads. Needs of the metatarsal area are often neglected. However, once problems develop, the pain and disability they cause can be as severe as those in the mid-foot or heel. Drop is a medium sized orthopedic insert that assists the metatarsal arch to retain, or regain, its natural anatomical shape. Lifting the forefoot back into shape relieves pressure and the stinging, burning sensation that you may be experiencing. These symptoms indicate that the stress on your forefeet is leading to nerve damage and the collapse and spreading of the forefoot area. Drop may be used by anyone who wants a little support in the metatarsal area of the forefoot. Drop, Gallant, or Feel Good are also good choices for those with active pain and inflammation and for those without flexibility, and adequate fat pads, in their forefeet. Pedag makes several metatarsal inserts. Drop, Gallant, and Feel Good are substantially smaller than T-Form. All however, lift and support the metatarsal area and prevent forefoot area problems. Drop is made of vegetable tanned leather and skin tested latex, with a self-adhesive backing.

Review: High quality and effective - I've been using Pedag for years to reduce pain caused by hammer toes. Pedage are by far the highest quality I've used, having a leather exterior so they don't break apart over time. One issue I have is that the adhesive will eventually beging to peel due to the foot sliding in and out of the shoe. I haven't used a brand that where this doesn't occur, so I counter this by applying these to the underside of my insoles so my foot doesn't make contact with it. They always last the life of my shoe, including my running shoes, and practically eliminate my pain

I've been using Pedag for years to reduce pain caused by hammer toes. Pedage are by far the highest quality I've used, having a leather exterior so they don't break apart over time. One issue I have is that the adhesive will eventually beging to peel due to the foot sliding in and out of the shoe. I haven't used a brand that where this doesn't occur, so I counter this by applying these to the underside of my insoles so my foot doesn't make contact with it. They always last the life of my shoe, including my running shoes, and practically eliminate my pain

These metatarsal pads worked for me. I put them on the Pedag insoles to give extra metatarsal spread for pain relief in the toes. I love that they have a leather covering over the dense foam. I am on my feet a lot and these pads have held up to my daily usage. I bought felt pads before I got to these one and they are of no comparison.
