The chair arrived partially assembled with some your attachments (resistance bands) already on. I have purchased more resistance bands since I first got the chair. They really just snap on and then you lock them into place. It's hard for me to describe it for you. You may be able to find an instructional video on YouTube (or some other online location). I hope this helps you out a little. But once you figure out the "how to" part you will find this chair to be a great investment. I love it!
