Subaru, in particular 2017 and later, require you be able to write to the computer, not something that this tool could ever imagine doing. It may be able to wake and program a sensor but it is not able to do this on late model Subaru's and I believe Toyota is the same way. Sorry if you had high hopes for an inexpensive fix to your late model Subaru.
