Review: After having this mop vac for a few weeks I can say that it has saved my back from regular mopping and scrubbing. I find myself using it frequently just because it’s easy! I use to mop once and week because it was hard on my body but since having the mop vac, I mop 2-3 times a week. It is completely worth the money and we have tile floors. I have a German shepherd who sheds like crazy and tracks in dirt after playing outside and it has taken care of the mess on our tile. The mop vac is simple to use, light weight, and great quality. I can see a visual difference in my tile. I personally just mix vinegar with water into the tank it comes with and it works perfectly.

**Q: Looking for something that cleans hard, dried on messes better than the bissell "crosswave", is this the same product as the purple bissel crosswave?**
A: It is extremely similar, it does remove the water better and looks more durable. I decided to keep mine but was on the verge of returning due to how close its is. That said I haven’t found anything better.

**Q: How does this vacuum perform with dog hair and on tile floor?**
A: We have a dog and two cats, and mostly tile on our first floor, this washer performs wonderfully on tile! I'd recommend vacuuming first to get the loose clumps of hair in the corners (if you have pets, you know what I'm talking about), and afterward this machine will clean up anything left on the floor. Its self-clean function is also very easy to use and very effective. Finally, the cord is extra-long and the reservoirs are larger than the cheaper machines, so it's much easier to get large areas done. This machine is worlds better than the cheaper Hoover and Bissell machines, both of which we've also had in the past. I can highly recommend this product!

A: It will clean well on tile once it get too dirty need to change roller and make sure chemical being used you put the correct amount

We've had several Hoover Floormates over the years, most of which lasted only about 3 years before being unusable due to no pickup, or screaming motors, or totally dead. The Sanitaire model, while more expensive, is a HUGE improvement! The cleaning action is much better due to the horizontal roller as opposed to the spinning brushes, and the swivel-head makes getting under cabinets and into corners easy. The wet pickup is outstanding, the Floormates always left our floors wet and could never pick up very much water, the Sanitaire leaves the floor very close to dry such that it only takes a few minutes to finish drying. The self-clean operation is very handy and works extremely well, but even if you need to dismantle the unit to clean it more thoroughly, it's really only a matter of 10 minutes or so to do the complete job. Finally, the detergent and pickup tanks are larger than the Floormat so you can do more work without stopping, the detergent tank alone is about twice the volume. Plus, the one I bought on Amazon came with an extra spare cleaning roller and an extra waste tank filter. Finally, this unit is much quieter than the Floormate, I'd estimate about half the sound level. We've only had it for about a month so I can't speak to its longevity, but the construction seems much more solid and heavy-duty, which is what you'd expect from a commercial version of an appliance. Definitely a satisfied customer!
