If you don't need the absolute speed the toolless change gives you--and really, we're talking about maybe 10-15 seconds longer--the old model still makes sense and works well. Keep in mind that the new model uses a toolless blade change like the old Bosch jig saws, and Bosch quickly got away from that system because of complaints. YMMV or it may be the same. If you have the old model, it makes sense to pay $5 for one of these. If you're in the middle of a project and lose the screw you are, well, screwed. Buy this and put it in the case.
