It's chunky enough to fit with a costume, and also sleek enough for regular wear when I want to be glitzy. I did notice some scratches on it when it arrived, but it looks like they occurred in the mail and you couldn't see them from further away than a few inches so it didn't bother me. I did notice that it smudged easily when touched, and it looked like it would probably tarnish against my skin...but I got around this with some arm sleeves which made the bracelet more comfortable, too.
