The rockfire rm-203u will convert an analog 15 pin connector from an older 15-pin joystick/yoke/steering console to USB. I have a PFC yoke with 15 pin connection. Worked fairly well with Windows XP & MS Flight Sim X. But froze on too many occasions. I wanted to connect to my Windows 8.1, (faster clock speed) but it couldn't support the XP gamecard. I would have had to buy a new quality USB yoke, costing hundreds of $$$$$. I found the rm-203, and for under $50, I bought it. It works great, MS Flight Sim X doesn't freeze anymore. So, sim flying is really fun again, and as a bonus, I saved at least $700! In conclusion, I can't give a 100% correct answer. I recommend trying the converter. If you want to hook up an older 15-pin device and convert it to USB, it's worth spending less than $50 to take a chance. Especially if the device is really worth using. If it doesn't work, return it. If it works; great! You may ask why...read the reviews on any sub $100 joysticks and they seem to last a week. This joystick was used for years and my 3 yo uses it to pilot his space ship and its solid and works well...why get something new when this still does what it needs to and is built so well.Tips for setup not in the instruction pamphlet: Regardless of your controller and what the instructions say try each mode for the best fit...unplug the usb each time you change the mode or windows won't detect the "new" devices. The windows calibration app can be found by typing "game controller" in windows search. If your controller has too many functions/ axis identified in the config. that's not a problem as long as the mode supports everything you do have. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100% with Flightstick Pro on Linux *by J***S on October 22, 2020* What can I say? It worked out of the box for me on Linux with a CH Flightstick Pro (all buttons work). It is recognized as a USB HID device. It was necessary to select mode 2 on the converter box for the CH. The Flightstick Pro is the only gameport joystick I have to test, so I'm not sure how well this will work with other equipment. Despite the mode switch I imagine there is some device that won't have all functional buttons, but that isn't the fault of this device as it's meant to be a generic solution.Very happy with my purchase. This is a good solution for those who don't want to take the time to build a custom converter. ### ⭐ Didn't work with my CH Products rudder pedals with gameport connector and sticks *by P***O on August 30, 2020* I got this so I could use my CH Products rudder pedals with the gameport connector with my laptop that only has a USB port. I could get the pedals to work, but then neither of my gameport flight sticks would work.
