Its worth every dime-rupee-dollar and what not you spend. I got it at cheap price in a deal. The conversion of 48V phantom power to 5V for connecting old walkman microphones, electret microphones to your Professional External Sound Card.. was what I was looking for. It not only made wide variety of microphones compatible with my sound card but also made work easier, alot easier. It can also be used to XLR port on video cameras to connect such unpowered microphones. There was no noticeable noise. No issues so far. It's much expensive than at what I purchased, almost double.
