My last headlamp was not water resistant and I broke it. It was important that this one hold up to sweat and water. So far so good. It is so comfortable that I forget I have it on sometimes which is both embarrassing and sometimes blinding for others around me,but speaks to it's wearability . The battery life has been lasting me several nights of mutiple hours of use. It isn't too bulky for my head nor too small to operate. I wouldn't change anything about it's shape or size, just the charging cord to a USB c and make a dedicated off/on switch to be able to quickly turn it off when needed. I do not find the motion sensor setting useful while wearing it because it tends to turn off when I need light and is not as sensitive to movement as it needs to be. If something happened to this pair I would probably just buy the same model again if they were still available. Hopefully I won't have to worry about that for a few years at least. A Samsung phone charger also works for this. The provided charging cable is a bit tiny.-motion detection works great and is a lazy way to turn this guy on and off-very affordableCons:-no red light- only brightness option is incredibly bright. It would be nice to have an actual dimmer-small charging cable. I've misplaced it (obviously that is my fault)I've had this headlamp for about a year now and it's been great. It holds a charge well and charges quickly. If you want a good backpacking or backcountry headlamp, considers something that you can swap out some triple a's in. If you just want some bright headlamp around and you will have a charging method available, consider this headlamp. Ive used it for multi day camping trips with no issues. It even stands up to being in extreme heat and cold. Bright enough for what I need, and has the two brightness settings if I want the battery to last longer. I love the adjustable head. After having used this, I don't think I'd get a headlamp without it. Makes it so easy to put the light where I want it.Two things that I'm not crazy about, but given how the lamp is, are not deal breakers at all. First, the third setting (after most bright and less bright) is a flashing light. I honestly can't think of any use for that and wish that I could just turn that setting off so I can scroll just through on/bright/less bright/off. But it's not anywhere near a deal breaker, and mostly makes me curious as to why it's there.Second, it does take a decent amount of time for the battery to recharge. I haven't timed it but it just seems longer than other rechargeable devices that I use. However, the battery last for a good amount of time so this is not, again, a huge concern.One item I found during use is that if you have the item on full brightness for a while, instead of going from full to off, it seems to start to dim over time. I think that's more useful than not having a warning and it just goes off.Don't let my issues above dissuade you from purchasing this.
