I hid it in the very back and that seems to have fixed the problem. As for the price, it seems expensive, but it's very shelf stable and should last a long time. (Just keep it dark, dry, and cool.) 11/13/2016: I still have the same bottle and it's still edible (flavorful). However; I've started grinding what I need to flavor my dishes. I like doing it this way much better.
