A: What part of it? The yellow ringed connector has an outer diameter of 7mm.

**Q: Will this work with sn 22171083142 resmed air 10?**
A: Yest this power supply cord/cable will work with the resmed air 10. SN 22171083142 is the serial number for you particular cpap device, it is unique to your device and your device alone.  The model is resmed air 10 and as i stated earlier this will work.

**Q: what type is the barrel connector, so i can buy an extension cable?**
A: the barrel connector is 6.35 mm x 3.175 mm or 1/4 in x 1/8 inch would be the numbers for the barrel connector if i am understanding the question correctly.  However I am curious as to why you need to know the type or size of the barrel connector when when you can simply buy extension cord plug it up to the wall outlet plug the ac/dc adapter for the resmed, to the extension cord then to the cpap machine?  Boom Bang problem solved . unless i am missing something and you are planning on doing something else besides just making the reach of the resmed adapter longer.  I hope my answer was helpful If you need to know anything else just ask, if i see your question i will be more than happy to answer.  On a side note this is a great buy because if you tried to by this power supply cable from a medical supply company it would be drastically more expensive. This power supply cable has worked great for me.
