Our kitchen has 3 sets of lights and it would have been far too expensive to replace all the bulbs with smart bulbs (in fact you can't get smart bulbs for some of them) so replacing the existing 3 gang switch with a smart light switch seemed the obvious answer.Positives:- Nice design - lots of people have commented on how nice it looks- Haptic feedback when you turn the light on is nice (you can disable this via the app if you want)- Integrates well with Alexa- Its not expensiveNegatives- When I turn the lights on using the switch I sometimes hit the wrong one- The installation instructions are almost useless: tiny writing that is hard to read, badly written (translated?) so it sometimes doesn't make sense- "Smart" functions don't work without a connection to their servers and there was a month or so back in January where they were upgrading their servers so none of the smart functions worked. The switch still worked as a "dumb" switch though so it wasn't the end of the world, just inconvenient. It would have been better if there was some way to warn users of maintenance windows/issues.We have a modern house so we do have neutral wires in the wiring box - many older houses don't and this won't work without one! And you definitely need a deeper back box: the existing 35mm dry lining box was far too shallow, I replace this with a 47mm box which is much better.As a few people have mentioned, the app is a 3rd party app so its very generic and has limited functions. That's not a problem for me, but if you want to do fancy things it might be limiting?
