Hold lots of lead which I think is important when casting big bullets. It heats up quickly. It is very sturdy and the spout is tight and the lead flows well through it. I feel safe using it. I have the small pot but always adding cold lead to keep it full. Drops the temp all the time and get wrinkly bullets. I am going to get a lead thermometer to keep an eye on the temp because I think it gets away from me.
