Review: Not for the feint of heart - If you really want to take on doing this yourself, use this adhesive! It was my third attempt and it worked. Other attempts with other adhesives did not, but I cannot necessarily blame the adhesive. Technique is critical. The first was double-sided tape ... I can confidently warn against that one. Instant gratification is rarely lasting. Two bits of advice: 1) clean the windshield glass and the face of the mirror mounting block with acetone after scraping off ANY residue; 2) use a samarium-cobalt magnet on the outside of the windshield to hold the mounting block in place until the adhesive cures. Trust me on this! The photo: s-c magnet holding the block in place as the adhesive sets overnight. The plastic sheet is to keep the magnet from scratching the glass. Adhesive still holding after six months!

If you really want to take on doing this yourself, use this adhesive! It was my third attempt and it worked. Other attempts with other adhesives did not, but I cannot necessarily blame the adhesive. Junk. It Would not harden. Threw it in the trash and went to an auto parts store and bought a different brand that worked great.
