Also, it does "wear off," so I would think the "abrasive" action of the grass clippings would still work toward build up. But what have you got to lose? If it doesn't work under the mower, there are lots of other places it really shines.Mike **Q: Can you spray it into a lock on a car door?** A: Well, you could hold the lock insertion port open with a toothpick and get a small amount inside and make a mess of the rest of the door...the aerosol tip is not equipped to utilize the slender tube you find on a can of carb cleaner, so the short answer is no. I also use the small tube of dry graphite available at auto parts stores- snip the tip, insert, give a little squeeze, and voila. **Q: The title states that it is a black grease, just wanted to confirm that this sprays on as a black grease?** A: It's not technically a grease...it's not thick and oily.
