Q: Can this be used on newborns?

I would say no - don't use on a baby! It left my skin itchy and irritated. Not at all wonderful like Cetaphil cream.

Q: What color is this, thinking clear or white maybe?

It’s slightly cloudy white. Think...paste.....but more viscous. Meh. The bottle is hard to squeeze like many reviews say. And though it’s supposed to be scent free there is a tiny sweet baby smell. I like it and continue to use it.
