**Q: How do you get the black plate to open?**
A: While holding the magnifying glass, with the lights facing you and the glass up, grasp just under the glass on either side of the handle and press the two buttons in and the plate to the battery compartment will pop open for you to be able to open it.

**Q: How long do the batteries last? 1hr, 2hrs....?**
A: I have used it for several hours with no battery issues. The LEDs don’t use much energy.

**Q: Where do batteries go**
A: Battery operated: 3 x AAA batteries required (Not Included)

**Q: I have a light out.  can the led lights be replaced?**
A: I returned  mine because couldn't  find  where batteries  were supposed  to go. Plus it did not bend.

    Not so Great for Cross stitch

I needed it for cross stitching.  The magnifying glass stands out too far to see my work.  I have turned it on the edge of the glass since I hold my work against me.  I have glued a piece of felt on the edge of the glass so that it won't slide.  It's not too comfortable, but I need it to complete this one piece.
