We’ve since placed multiple orders and have them on all the bedroom and living space windows in our house. The custom sizing is excellent and the blackout feature is a must.The long: We recently purchased an old home and had the windows replaced prior to moving in. I knew we wanted window treatments (since people can literally peek right in from the sidewalk), but I really dislike traditional blinds and thought Roman shades would be inconvenient given our short windows. Since we have kids, we also can’t do long drapes, but we really appreciate having a dark room so a blackout shade was the thought. Custom shades cost thousands of dollars and we just didn’t have the budget for that so after a ton of Amazon research we settled on these roller shades. I love them and recommend them. Our windows are fairly inset and these shades fit perfectly into the space without looking too bulky. Have been using them for 6 months with no functional issues whatsoever. As for blackout-ness. They do great but light will always peek through the side of a shade unless you’re using black trash bags or aluminum foil to reflect every possible day of light. That being said, they do pretty well. The sun rises right over my bedroom window and it’s still dark every morning. We added some short blackout curtains to the kid’s room for extra blackout since they go to bed pretty early (shown in photos).Customer service was also great since we had a few issues with our first order. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install and blocks the light *by B***Y on May 9, 2025* So easy to install and certainly blocks the light coming in from the full moon! We used to wake up to the light when the moon rose and shone in our window above our bed. Now it actually keeps the light out so we can sleep longer and without waking during the night. I bought through Amazon even though customizing the size wasn’t as available as on the website but the 1/2 that it is short is covered pretty much by curtain panels on each side. It’s very much a bargain if the size works for you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits perfectly *by K***Y on May 18, 2025* These are the best! Fits in between window frame so you can’t really see it unless it is pulled down. We went awhile without any blinds just because I like how open it was.
