Bickford is what you want to buy. There is nothing "off-brand" about this product, it is pure Madagascar vanilla bean extract in 35% alcohol without added sugar, corn syrup, or propylene glycol to dilute it. The "off-brand" taste is due to the lack of added sweetener.McCormick is >41% alcohol, they cheat you with less extract and more alcohol. Nielsen-Massey is overpriced due to their premium packaging. The non-NM Mexican vanilla is suspended in water and is mostly a vanillin blend (vanillin is not "imitation", it is just one compound of pure vanilla extract that can be manufactured industrially).Among all Amazon real vanilla products this is the best.
