It's given me the confidence to get a bit more creative with my veggies off the cuff. My Hubby, on the other hand, only cooks with a guide and finds this indispensable. Recipes are very, very simple and really do take 30 minutes or less (which is perfect when trying to squeeze in cooking a meal at 8pm when you get home from work). We purchased a food processor to help with the preparation time and it is used almost daily. The meals are genuinely tasty for anyone who tries them. It's not very hard to source most ingredients at our local farmers market, on-line butcher and Amazon.A word or two about the measures. I'm an ExPat so, am used to dealing with cups and spoons. I know that makes me a dinosaur in the UK. If you are used to weighing up ingredients in recipes, you may want to order some measuring cups and spoons to go along with this book. I've been using UK sourced ones and it they work fine.9 pounds in around 7 weeks just by changing the way I eat & moving around a bit more. I'm happy with those kinds of results and feel a lot better than I did eating the old stuff. And if I can do it eating yummy things? Bonus!! Highly recommend this book as a good starting point into the lifestyle, you can easily take the 21-day challenge with just this book. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars try something different *by F***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 November 2011* This book was recommended by my chiropractor. as he is both fit and slim i thought id give it a try.... why not.i lost 4 lb in the first week and i wasn't even trying. the recipes are very good and very filling so you don't miss the carbs at all. and most of them really are under 30 mins and many much quicker.i like the way nothing is too precise, it encourages you to experiment and use what's in the fridge rather than having to shop precisely for a recipe, although i did restock my larder to start with.i hate 'dieting' as i always feel deprived, usually because the things i like i cant have. with the no carb thing you can have treats like butter and a glass of wine (in moderation of course)i would recommend giving this a try, after all, the worst that can happen is that its not for you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great little book *by E***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 September 2013* My diet is not 100% paleo (I eat oats and very dark chocolate neither of which I will stop eating). But as an active person, I need to eat a lot and sometimes fall off the paleo(ish) wagon. I am trying to do better, so for me, this book is fantastic. It has given me so many ideas especially for snacks as well as main courses. I was chuffed to see that many of the ingredients are staple cupboard items. They are simple and tasty.
