We stop several times to grab some food to eat on the road. My husband's car really doesn't have an area for him place his food, so he usually balances it on his knee which can be somewhat difficult to do while driving. I saw this tray at amazon and decided to give it a try, and I'm glad we did as it served its purpose well! It was large enough to hold his food as well as his cellphone. We were lucky that his car has an area on the side of the console where the clip could easily be attached; if you're considering buying this tray, make sure you do have an area for the clip. Once attached, the clip didn't come off. The tray arm was adjustable which was a plus, but for that reason the tray did wobble just a bit, but it remained flat and level unless one of us bumped it. Overall, we are very pleased with this tray; it made our trip more enjoyable. You can clip it on the door and it sits right above the arm rest. I can still get to the controls on the door.
