After doing some research, this was the mid-range price for an introductory pot and seemed like the perfect place to start my journey. It was packaged very well and came in perfect condition. The pot itself is cast iron and has a bit of weight to it. The color was stunning and it simply felt like a quality product. I boiled my first brew on my gas stove on low. The entire pot heats up very well, with the handle remaining cool to the touch. I then put my loose leaf tea in the basket and let it brew for 5 minutes off the heat. The first pour was a surprisingly solid steam and didn't spill a drop. I came back for my 2nd cup 30 minutes later and the tea was still perfectly warm! Clean up was easy enough. The only thing slightly annoying was my hand not fitting in the pot well to reach all the wet spots to dry, so I had to leave it out. Like any other cast iron product, it does run the risk of rusting if not properly handled. However, if you take care of it, I predict a long life span for this pot. For the money, I think this was an amazing buy. It'd also make a great gift for anyone who likes tea, as the weight of the product definitely makes it feel more expensive than it is.
