## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do I Have to wash these before eating?**
A: There is no need to wash.
The product goes through several processes respecting all FDA and USDA regulations for the production of safe food.
Arriving totally ready for consumption.
Just open the package and enjoy the fresh flavor of our Brazil nuts.

**Q: Why is the amount of selenium lower in these nuts (about 10 mcg per nut) than in other organic brands (about 90 mcg per nut)?**
A: I also noticed this. I believe this is an error on the label. After researching, most Brazil nuts contain approx. 68-91 mcg selenium per nut. not 62 mcg per 6 nut serving size. (which would be about 10 mcg per nut as you stated). Most nutrition/health research suggests 2 nuts/day.
It would be helpful if the company could respond.

**Q: Are the nuts pastuerized?**
A: Didn't know that was a thing. I just checked the package and it does not say that. Just "raw brazil nuts".

**Q: Are the Brazil nuts “activated” already?**
A: Hi Tom!
We aprecciate your question.
The True Organic Brazil Nuts do not go through the process of being activated.
If you have any more question, please let us know, we will be glad to assist you.
Best Regards,
Floresta em Pé's team.
