Its compact nature allows you to wear it anywhere under your clothing. As a clinical psychologist, familiar with the treatment of pain, this unit excels. It is about the size of a contact lens case with a larger pad the it snaps on to. The pad care be worn with comfort for days. I have found that a battery lasts at least 2 hours on full power. The unit automatically shuts off after 30 minutes which is a good length of time and allows you to wear it to bed while running that relieves the pain and my sleep has improved. The pain from my spinal stenosis and osteoarthritis of the lumbar region can be debilitating. This TENS unit has allowed y to be more active with little or no pain. I have tried acupuncture, massage, chiropractic and specific exercises. NOTHING has been as helpful as this TENS unit.
